i know where i’m from - through tarred fields of unrelenting spit,
now burning through the planet core,
i must be lost; seared by the shore

earth and it's kind are drowning in heat - an interstellar calamity
i've flown to hide, but the planet’s not forgiven me
starlight: quelling time mending half-baked street lights
but your orbitals seem so serene,
despite matters selflessly obscene
i'm here tonight, superseded to never for free
my taunted flesh, scarred souls cling to me
